RK Findlay provide Australian Design Rule (ADR) vehicle compliance services for truck, heavy trailer, light trailer, caravan and second stage manufacturer.
ADRs are the standards that must be met if a vehicle is to be used on the public roads in Australia. Vehicles must generally comply with the ADRs in force at the time they were constructed. The Australian Government requires all road vehicles – regardless of whether they are manufactured in Australia or are new or second-hand vehicles being imported – to comply with the relevant ADRs. This is primarily for safety reasons.
These ADR regulations cover a wide range of aspects regarding vehicle safety and compliance, including occupant protection, structure, lighting, noise, braking and exhaust emissions.
Authorised by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts as an approved test facility (TFA) – ROVER. We offer Australian Design Rule testing and compliance submission for federal Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) and Concessional RAV Entries (CRE). RK Findlay has been working with the Department since the inception of ADR’s.
